Archive Description | Oral History - Douglas Landrum Douglas Landrum was born in Houston in 1981 but has lived in Missouri City since birth. He has vivid memories of Hurricane Ike which caused great destruction throughout the Houston metroplex. After boarding up windows at family and friends’ homes he and his elderly grandparents rode out the storm in September 2008. After the storm passed, his grandfather died after falling from a tree. His grandmother died shortly thereafter. He shares stories of riding out several hurricanes and tropical storms and how he and his family prepared for the storms. |
