Archive Description | Oral History - Leon Anhaiser. Leon Anhaiser was born in Sugar Land. He went through the local schools and was awarded the Kempner scholarship to LSU from Imperial Sugar. After receiving his BS degree in Sugar Engineering, Leon served two years in the U S Army before returning to Sugar Land. He worked for Imperial for 33 years and served as plant manager, Vice President of Refinery Operations and Vice President of Operations Development. He was elected and served as President of WCID #1 during this period. It was in this capacity that he served the people of Sugar Land in flood prevention. In this fascinating interview he talks about water issues that have historically affected the Sugar Land area and bring us up to date on current water issues. 24 Pages. |
