| Archive Description | Oral History - Julia Garcia Moreno. Ms. Moreno’s parents came to Sugar Land from Mexico in 1908. When she grew up she said there were only three neighborhoods in Sugar Land: The Hill, Mayfield Park and Brooks Street. She is from a family of ten children, all of whom grew up and worked in Sugar Land. Ms. Moreno’s five children all went to the same elementary school schools that she did. |
